Privacy policy
Your privacy is very important to us. In fact, we believe privacy is just as important as accessibility.
And that’s why we keep things simple.
We try not to collect a lot of information from you while you are here. We do not collect IP addresses of visitors or even general locations from where visitors come. We do track the referring websites, such as if a visitor landed on our website from a link we posted somewhere. We also track how long a visitor spends on our site to give us an idea of reading, watching, and listening habits.
If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we ask you for your email address, for your first name (or given name or first initial) and your last name (or surname or last initial). We use this information only to track our how our newsletter goes out, how it reaches you, and if we are doing a good job.
We may share information about our newsletter reach and the number of visitors to our website with underwriters, also known as business sponsors. This helps business sponsors decide how long to sponsor The Word, and how much to donate. We do not share who is reading the word. We will also never share the names and email address of our newsletters subscribers with anyone.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at editor@the-word.news.
